Medical Assistants can schedule appointments by logging into the NexaPoint Health portal, selecting the patient under the “Patients” tab, and clicking “Book Appointment.” They can update the patient’s address and insurance details, upload ID and insurance images, and auto-fill information using the “Copy from Profile” option. After skipping the AI assistant if preferred, the MA manually enters the reason for visit, selects the appointment type as “Established Patient,” chooses the date/time, enters payment info (e.g., $20 co-pay), and clicks “Book Appointment” to finalize the process.
